For Students

The Wisconsin State Herbarium is the 3rd largest public university herbarium in the USA.  As such, we are dedicated to student education.  Graduate student requests account for 28% of our outgoing specimen loan activity, and herbarium staff directly supervise PhD, MS, and BS students at UWMadison and beyond.

In 2012 WIS handed out more than 100 mini-plant presses to younger students in the greater Madison area.  Did you take home a mini-plant press?  If so, we’d love to hear from you . . . what have you collected?
